How it is calculated
Drinks equal adult guests times hours times a drinking level (0.85 light, 1 average, 1.15 heavy, 1.3 extra heavy), minus one drink each for the toast.
From drinks to bottles
A 75 cl bottle of wine gives 5 servings, sparkling wine 6, a 1 litre bottle of spirits 19 and a 2 litre mixer 12. Water is 2 bottles per guest over six hours.
