1. Who we are
SayJa is run by SayJa [legal form, for example AB], company number [ ], Buskvägen 3, 281 36 Hässleholm, Sweden. You can reach us at ryan@sayja.se. "We" and "us" mean that company.
2. What SayJa does and who it is for
SayJa is a web app where a couple plans a wedding in one place: guest list, invitations and replies, schedule, food, drinks, travel, seating, budget, messages to guests, a guest app and a wedding website. It is built for couples marrying in Sweden, the UK, Denmark and Norway, and for the people they invite to help.
- You must be 18 or over to create an account.
- SayJa is for personal use for one wedding. You may not resell it or use it to run weddings for other people as a business.
- Guests do not need an account and are not bound by these terms. They answer through a personal link. What we do with their data is in the Privacy Policy.
3. Accounts and roles
You sign up with [email and password, or a social sign-in]. Give us true details, keep your login safe, and tell us if you think someone else has got in. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
One wedding per owner. Each account can own one wedding. You can still be invited to help with other people's weddings.
Every wedding has these roles:
| Role | Who it is for | What they can do |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | The person who created the wedding | Everything: edit, invite and remove people, see all guest details, billing, download everything, delete the wedding |
| Partner | The other half of the couple | Everything except billing, deleting the wedding and deleting the owner's account |
| Planner | A planner or organised friend | Edit the planning tools and guest list, see guest contact details; cannot delete or download everything |
| Helper | Someone with one job (say, seating) | See only the areas the owner gives them; no guest contact details |
| Viewer | A relative following along | Read only; no guest contact details, no messages |
The owner picks the roles, is responsible for the people they invite, and can change or remove anyone at any time. Invited people agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy when they join.
The owner can hand the wedding over to the partner. The offer lapses after 7 days if it is not accepted.
We do not settle disagreements between a couple. If the owner and partner fall out, we follow the owner's instructions, except where the law gives the partner rights of their own.
4. How long your wedding lasts
- Your wedding works normally until the wedding date.
- After the date it is read-only for 30 days. You can look and download, not edit.
- 30 days after the wedding date we delete everything: the wedding, guest details, messages and photos, and your account. We email the owner the day after the wedding, and again 7 days and 1 day before deletion, with a link to download everything.
- Download everything works at any time, so use it before the deletion date. We cannot bring a deleted wedding back.
- You can move the wedding date, but no more than 24 months ahead. The deletion date moves with it.
5. Your content and photos
What you put into SayJa (details, guest list, messages, photos) stays yours. You give us permission to store it, show it to the people you choose, and process it so SayJa works. That is all the permission we take.
- Only upload things you have the right to share. Ask people before you post photos where they can be recognised.
- Guests can remove themselves from photos and delete their own uploads.
- Photos are private to your wedding unless you choose to show them on your wedding website. We remove location data from uploaded photos.
- We may remove content that is clearly illegal or harmful, and will tell you when we do.
6. Your guests' details
You decide who to invite and what to ask them. That makes you responsible for having a good reason to hold your guests' details and for using them only for the wedding. We never use guests' details for our own marketing.
The full picture, including the roles of you and SayJa, is in the Privacy Policy under "Guests' data".
7. Messages we send for you
Reminders and updates to your guests go out in your name, based on what you set up. Use them only for your wedding: no spam, no unrelated promotion, no harassment. We send guests service messages only; marketing needs separate consent. You see the audience, the count and the exact text before you press Send. Sent messages cannot be unsent. You can see when a guest has opened a message or clicked a link only if that guest agreed to it. For everyone else you see whether it was delivered.
8. Using SayJa properly
Do not break the law, attack or overload the service, scrape it, upload malware, impersonate anyone, share your login, or use SayJa to harass guests. For a serious breach we may suspend your account. We warn you first where we can, and you can still download your data.
9. Price and payment
- SayJa is free for up to 30 guests.
- Bigger weddings pay once per wedding, by guest count. VAT is included in the price you see. No subscription, no commission.
| Plan | Guests | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Up to 30 | 0 kr |
| Liten | Up to 60 | 99 kr |
| Mellan | Up to 100 | 249 kr |
| Stor | Unlimited | 399 kr |
- Upgrading later charges only the difference.
- If your list goes over your plan, guests beyond the limit wait. Nothing is deleted. You upgrade to send them invitations.
- The free plan shows "Made with SayJa" on your wedding website.
- You pay through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We may add other payment methods later.
- We email a receipt. We keep receipts for as long as accounting law requires.
- AI writing help is included in every paid plan, with a fair-use limit per wedding. It is not part of the free plan. Other extras, such as printing, are priced separately and shown before you buy.
- Prices are in kr. [Prices in other currencies when we launch in other countries.]
10. Changing your mind and refunds
You can cancel within 14 days of paying and get a full refund, no questions asked. After that, there is no refund unless the law requires it or we fail to provide SayJa. If SayJa is broken or we cannot provide it, we fix it or refund you. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected by anything in these terms. A cancelled or postponed wedding is not a reason for a refund by itself; you can change the date.
11. Keeping SayJa running
We work to keep SayJa available but cannot promise it will never go down. We may improve or change features. If we remove something you paid for, we will tell you and put it right. Download everything works at any time, so you are never locked in.
Calculators (drinks, catering, seating, timeline) give estimates. Check numbers with your venue and suppliers before you order.
12. Our responsibility
We look after SayJa with reasonable care and skill. We do not limit anything the law does not let us limit, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your rights as a consumer. Otherwise our liability is limited to the amount you paid us, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as supplier bookings you made based on SayJa's estimates.
13. Ending things
You can leave any time. Delete my account removes your login and details. Delete this wedding removes the wedding and its guest data. Both are immediate and final: we ask twice, give a last warning, and ask you to type DELETE and your password. There is no way to bring a deleted wedding back, so download your data first.
We can end your account for serious breaches of these terms. When that happens we handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy, and refunds follow section 10.
14. Changes to these terms
We will post new versions here with the date. For important changes we email you at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can end your account before then.
15. Law, disputes and language
Swedish law applies, but you keep the consumer protections of the country where you live. If something goes wrong, write to ryan@sayja.se and we will reply within 14 days. If we cannot agree, consumers can use an out-of-court body: in Sweden the Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), in Denmark the Forbrugerklagenævnet, and in the UK [approved ADR provider]. [Norway: body to be named.] You may also go to the courts where you live.
These terms exist in English, Swedish and Danish [and Norwegian]. [If the versions differ, the [language] version applies.]
